Jersey Dressmaking Workshop

Dates & Times: 10-4pm Saturday 18th April
Location: Ymca Lytham, Mythop Road, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 4HB
Cost: £55: Includes all materials (based on doing a T-shirt, extra material can be purchased on the day if you want to make a dress) but pattern must be prepared prior to the workshop
choose from a number of recommended patterns (tshirt child’s or dress, with a range of styles & complexities); Instructions on preparing your pattern for the workshop will be sent on the confirmation email.
What you'll learn & make: Learn an abundance of basic dressmaking techniques; how to lay & cut out pattern pieces, stretch stitches, creating seams, hems, attaching a neckband, cuffs, twin needle, topstitching. Choose from our range of cotton/viscose jerseys or Ponte Roma.
The timings of this workshop should enable you to leave with a finished product but each person will work at a different pace so please be aware you may have tasks to complete at home to finish your garment.
Who is this suitable for: Over 16's- Confident beginner- This workshop doesn't require you to have existing dressmaking knowledge but you must be able to use a sewing machine confidently. This workshop will give you a great foundation of knowledge in preparation.
