Dates & Times: 10-4pm Wednesday 18th OR Saturday 21st November
Location: Ymca Lytham, Mythop Road, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, FY8 4HB
Cost: £55: Includes all materials (up to 1.75m of fabric ) but pattern must be purchased separately & ideally prepared prior to the workshop (paper pieces cut to size)
Pattern details will be revealed on 11th November...will you wait to see the pattern or take a risk and trust us when we say we think you'll love it???
What you'll learn & make: Learn an abundance of basic dressmaking techniques; how to lay & cut out pattern pieces, stretch stitches, creating seams, attaching a neckband, cuffs, stitching in the ditch or slip stitch and optional button holes. Choose from our range of cable knits, quilted jersey, teddy fleece or Ponte Roma.
The timings of this workshop should enable you to leave with a finished product but each person will work at a different pace so please be aware you may have tasks to complete at home to finish your garment.
Who is this suitable for: Over 16's- Confident beginner- This workshop requires you to have dressmaking knowledge & you must be able to use a sewing machine confidently. Ideally for those who have sewn with stretch fabrics before.
