Personalised Print Hand Embroidery

Location: Lytham Ymca Mythop Road, Lytham St Anne's, FY8 4HB
Cost: £25: Included materials; selection of embroidery threads, Embroidery needle, calico fabric for foot/hand/paw to printed onto (or alternatively you could trace an existing print) & any relevant templates. (you will need to bring or buy a 6'' Embroidery hoop)
Who is this suitable for: Any over 16- this session requires previous hand sewing experience!
What you'll learn & make:
Create your own personalised embroidery memory using a printed hand, foot or paw print onto fabric*, develop your existing hand embroidery skills with a range of different floral/leaf, filling & advanced linear stitches. This class is aimed at those with some embroidery experience who want to develop with skills. This 2.5 hour session will focus on choosing appropriate stitches to create a design inside or around your chosen print.
* you will need to print your desired hand, foot or paw print onto fabric with poster, acrylic, emulsion paint etc onto plain base fabric (we recommend calico for maximum success) this can be collected from to studio prior to booking. Alternatively you could bring along an existing print and be traced onto the base fabric where the design can still be infilled with stitches.
(you may not leave with a finished product but will have the skills & knowledge to do so at home)
