What you'll learn & make:
Mama & me sessions have been developed based upon your requests- you asked for sessions where both little & big creatives alike can get crafty, learn a new skill & make something together…of course this is absolutely open to dads, aunties, nana’s, friends & family members too!
31st July: Create your own pretty & practical hand embroidery sampler choosing from a selection of designs. They’re a fun way to try a range of different outline stitches. There are so many hand embroidery stitches out there but this class is aimed at beginners who want a modern take on an embroidery. You’ll learn how to transfer a design onto fabric & trial a range of different outline stitches. These are great transferable stitches to card making, soft furnishings & fashion/up-cycling. Take time to slow down down this summer & enjoy this mindful craft you can take on the go with you.
14th August:
Learn how to use a crochet hook & basic stitches including; Chain stitch, single and double (time allowing) crochet in preparation to create a made to crochet twist headband. Choose from the lovely range of Chunky wools so your project grows quickly. *children 9years+
21st August: We'll guide you through the a selection of techniques to develop your painting skills including silk screen printing, resist stencils, sgraffito & bubble painting to create a exciting & professional looking effects on your chosen piece- choose from mug or trinket/side plate.
8th August: Join Heather from The Token Hunter. This bracelet making workshop is a great opportunity to unleash your creativity, she will talk you through the colours and meanings of the beads and guide you through planning and arranging your designs.
