Before Covid we ran regular ‘girls nights in’ a chance to have a good catch up, a giggle, a drink or 3 ;-) with your girls friends/ colleagues/ family etc and make something at the same time…it’s been a long time coming but they’re back! Our ‘crafty eves’ will replace these as we don’t want to leave the boys out! In the main they involve getting creative, hand sewing & minimal sewing machine use so feel free to bring along a bottle or buy drinks from the bar on the floor above! Enjoy good company, the mindfulness of craft and leave with something you’ve enjoyed making!!!

16th November: Enchanted Scene

8th December: Festive Wreath/table centrepiece

Who is this suitable for: Any over 16- these workshops ideal if you've previously attended the introduction to sewing or have some sewing experience & want to build your skills & confidence!

What you'll learn & make:

For the  Boats & beach huts, Autumnal Wreath, Enchanted Scene & Wreath/table centrepiece You will Indulge in playing with fabrics & natural resources to create a design of your choice! The tutor will guide you through manipulating hessian/fabrics, use hand sewing techniques, arrangement & placement of natural & hand sewn elements to create your art work.

Pattern weighs are invaluable resource for dressmakers & crafters a like, save so much time pinning fabric with these handy compact pattern weights. Learn how to create your own continuous bias binding (a great transferable skill) and create a set of 6 pattern weights. You will have all the skills & knowledgeable to make more from scraps of fabric and your collection of pattern weights can keep on growing!
