This course is specifically designed to take your dressmaking/sewing skills to a more confident & professional level. During the 6 weeks you will create a folder of samples with step by step instructions- this will become your sewing reference guide (or sewing bible) for future sewing projects & can be built upon for months/years to come.
Throughout the weeks you will create a stitch sampler with different stitches that will appear in dressmaking instructions such as; STAY STITCH, EASE, GATHER, BASTING, OVERCAST, BUTTON HOLES, ETC.
Throughout the course we will also cover; laying out pattern pieces, grainline, bias of fabric, pattern markings, transferring pattern markings & notches.
Optionally we suggest that you put into practice your newly acquired skills by making Tilly & The Buttons Lyra dress along side the course, this may be at home or during social sewing sessions.
